The Kuchipudi Art Academy is one of the greatest platforms in Sydney to learn and explore the art of Kuchipudi. It is the only school in Sydney to specialise in and teach the "Padma Bhushan Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam's style of Kuchipudi.

Sudhakar Durgam
Guru & Admin
Natyacharya Mr Sudhakar Durgam is an excellent dance teacher. He learned Kuchipudi dance from legendary guru "Padma Bhushan" Vempati Chinna Satyam, V. Neerajadevi and P.B. Krishnabharathi and learned Carnatic music from Tampella Suryanarayana. Mr Durgam is also a writer and choreographer. He participated in so many prestigious Kuchipudi dance festivals with his students in India. Many of his students became good dancers and teachers under his training. Jr NTR is one of his best students.
Sudhakar Durgam trained superstar Jr NTR in Kuchipudi dance for 12 years.
Dr. Bharathi Reddy
President
Dr Bharathi Reddy is a medical practitioner in Sydney. She has a passion for fine arts. She is the founder President of Australia Telugu Samithi Inc. She learnt Kuchipudi, Baratha Natyam, Odissi and kathak. Dr. Bharathi Reddy was honoured with "Gargi award for performing arts by the Hindu Council of Australia in 2023. Her passion for Kuchipudi made her to sponsor and successfully obtain permanent residency status for Kuchipudi dance guru Sri Sudhakar Durgam.
Sudhakar Durgam trained superstar Jr. NTR in Kuchipudi dance for 12 years.
In 2004, Dr. Bharati arranged the highly successful tour of Australia and New Zealand by Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Sathyam and his group of 30 artists. They performed ballets of Ardha Nareeswara and Gopika Krishna in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
Kuchipudi Art Academy of Sydney Inc was established in 2004 in Sydney with the blessings of Dr Vempati Chinna Sathyam. Sudhakar Durgam as guru, Dr Bharathi is the president of Kuchipudi Art Academy of Sydney Inc. and Dr Sri Ranga Reddy is the public officer.
